The award-winning course IHHS 402: HIV Prevention and Care is offered annually at the University of British Columbia in May-June. The course is open to students in Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, Social Work, Nutrition and Dentistry, as well as for interdisciplinary students. The objective of the course is to prepare students in the health and human service professions to begin practice in the field of HIV/AIDS as members of interprofessional teams. The course consists of 2-week online learning followed by 4 weeks of classroom learning and clinical/community placements.
